Our proven technology enables rock-solid communications up to 1 mile.

Freeing you from the complexities of RF design, our System enables you to develop products in days instead of months.

Comprised of a "known good" software and hardware design, it will save you significant time, expense and risk.

Using our software model, and our RF PCB layout, FCC Type Acceptance is virtually guaranteed upon first submission.

Designed for CW or OOK transmitters and receivers, our proprietary protocol utilizes a sophisticated variable pulse width encoding scheme.

In clear and easy to follow terms, it provides for the following:

  • 4-8 Bit Address Field (16-256 Possible Units)

  • 8 Bit Data Field

  • 3X Redundancy Error Checking

  • 50% Duty Cycle for Maximum FCC Power Output

  • Variable 300 BPS - 9600 BPS Data Rate

Using our robust Transmit and Receive routines are as simple as 1-2-3.

  1. Incorporate the routines into your application.

  2. To transmit, populate the OutBuffer and then call TRANSMIT.

  3. To receive, call RECEIVE, and then read the InBuffer.

The included RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) routine is extremely powerful. Calibrated in dbm, it enables the objective evaluation of RF link quality.

The RF PIC Development System includes the following:

Software Reference CD (1)

  • TX Routine

  • RX Routine

  • TX/RX Half-Duplex Routine

  • RSSI Routine

  • Ping-Pong Routine

  • Random Repeat/Retry Interval Routine

  • Detailed Timing Diagram

  • USB Serial Driver

Hardware Reference Boards (2)

  • 418 MHz RF Receiver Module

  • 418 MHz RF Transmitter Module

  • USB Serial Interface

  • PIC 16LF88 Microcontroller

  • In Circuit Programming (ICD) Header w/Switch

  • Low Loss RF Antenna Switch IC

  • TX and RX LEDs

  • General Purpose LED

  • 2 General Purpose Switches

  • 2 10-Bit Analog Inputs

  • 2 Digital Inputs

  • 2 Digital Outputs

  • 1 Piezo Annunciator

  • 3VDC AA Battery Holder

Designed to facilitate experimentation, the reference boards enable analog sensor values to be measured, transmitted and received.

Three different antennas are provided for evaluating various range options:

  • 1/2 Wavelength (No ground plane required.)

  • 1/4 Wavelength (Ground plane required for maximum range.)

  • Stubby (Reduced range, but very compact.)

Included is the Schematic, PCB Layout, Gerber File and Bill of Materials.

The BOM details all the specialized RF components and includes manufacturer and distributor part numbers as well.

For interested parties having limited engineering resources, the system can also be customized to your exact specifications. Please feel free to call or E-Mail with your particular requirements.
